| White on white was the theme of the night for this year's ISES Annual Gala, amusingly held on the inauspicious date of Friday 13th. Superstition was no barrier to the celebratory nature of the event, however, with 140 guests representing Melbourne's event industry gathering to celebrate the year in progress, network with friends and colleagues, and let their hair down before the peak season hits in earnest. Featuring white lounging, white table decor and a white candy buffet with all-white lollies, Hilton on the Park's stunning white ballroom was the perfect setting for the event. Congratulations to Peter Jones of Peter Jones Special Events, to whom ISES' Michael Milburn Lifetime Achievement Award was presented. The night was also the world premiere of Laser Funk, the brainchild of Nic Yates and Arthur Ipsaros, a truly innovative, new and fresh approach to laser entertainment, blending live musicians and a remarkable laser act. Intelligent, impressive and totally new, the performance won points from the seasoned audience, who gave it a resounding welcome. Thank you to all our guests for making the night a great success.
