Dear ISES Members
This is going to be a huge year for ISES globally - 2013 will be our year!
I have just returned from Chicago where I attended The Special Event and also the 6 monthly ISES Leadership meetings.
In 2013 you are going to see some of the biggest changes to come out of ISES in the last 10 years - it’s exciting, innovative and will take our organisation to another level in the events industry around the globe
The ISES Board of Governors has been working incredibly hard on the new strategy and vision for our organisation. They appointed Davies Tanner a PR and Brand strategy company based in the UK to work with them to create a strong brand statement to ensure its vision, values and tone of voice are adopted and communicated consistently worldwide. They certainly have achieved that goal.
The International Special Events Society will be known as ISES, Creative Event Professionals, Globally. This will mean that ISES will be working with a diverse range of industries that have a creative bent; we will share more of this with you in the next few months.
Each Affiliate within ISES will be appointing a Brand Ambassador to ensure a clear, strong concise message is delivered around the world to all our ISES members and family. The Australasian Affiliate has appointed Rebecca Coomes our President Elect for Melbourne Chapter as our Brand Ambassador.
ISES EventWorld is now to be called ISES Live. This year we launch the new brand name and the new vision in The Bahamas on 24 - 26 August 2013. What better place to launch a new, fresh, bright creative innovative name and vision than one in one of the most beautiful set of islands in the world.
ISES Live will be an incredible creative and educational event and we already have many Australian members signed up to attend.
I encourage all of you to seriously look at attending this event in the Bahamas to really experience the new direction and vision of ISES and meet your ISES colleagues from all around the world. But most of all I can guarantee you will be inspired and motivated by the education, creativity and networking that you will experience at ISES Live in 2013.
